When I was 5 years old I entered a flower arrangement competition at school. Without too much thought or deliberation I decided to decorate a pine cone with daisy flowers. I won First Prize, perhaps still my most cherished achievement to this day. Convinced of my true talent, I spent my childhood believing I would one day become a florist when I grew up.
Although I am not currently arranging bouquets for my livelihood now, my work as a Graphic Designer is essentially still putting this same talent to use: the selection and arrangement of seperate – perhaps suprising on their own – elements, to form a new, balanced, interesting and attractive whole.
My love for paper and print and deep interest in typography are driving forces in my work. I am interested in the collaborative process between myself and the client, as well as other creative professionals in my network. I always want the form of my designs to reflect the content it carries.
